Non Profit
The Lions Center for the Blind uses the latest in technology to provide individualized, one-on-one training to develop the skills necessary to succeed. We provide services that invest in opportunities for those with vision loss, filling the vacuum that can leave individuals isolated, abandoned, unemployed, and disengaged. At the Lions Center for the Blind, with the services we provide, we are building a society based on care, respect and economic security for those who are blind or have low vision.
Vision rehabilitation services enable people who are blind or low vision to build independent and productive lives. Our professional team of experienced instructors provide individualized, one-on-one training for our clients to develop the skills necessary to succeed. Our services are certified by the California Department of Rehabilitation.
MISSION
Our Mission is to preserve vision, foster independence and enhance the quality of life for adults who are blind or at risk for vision impairments and to serve as a trusted source of information and expertise on blindness in the community.
SERVICES
We fulfill our mission by offering services focused on early detection and intervention in order to prevent or slow vision loss for age-related eye disease and by giving blind older adults in the East Bay the tools and skills they need to maintain their health, independence and quality of life.
